English 32-Pounder Iron Garrison Gun


English 32-PDR Iron Garrison Gun 1760-1790

 This piece has a brass barrel and brass wheels instead of the cast iron of the originals plus the carriage is made of rosewood .The barrel measures 3” diameter at the breech and 2 ¾” at the muzzle, the overall length is 16 5/8” long with a ¾” bore with a removable breech plug the trunnions are ¾” diameter x 7/8” long. Front wheels are 2 ½” x ¾” wide and the back wheels are 2 ¼” x ¾” wide. The carriage is made of African rosewood with a oil finish the carriage is 10” long x 8 ¾ wide x 6” tall the carriage is cross bolted and the axles are also bolted to the carriage, total piece weighs 26 pounds

17th century French mortar 3 inch bore


Large brass mortar 3-inch bore

1700-century French mortar model set on 3-inch thick walnut, barrel was machined from a solid brass bar. The barrel was machined from a solid bar of 360 brass with the trunnion fitted to the bottom. The bore is 3” diameter with a smaller powder chamber at the bottom overall length of barrel is @ 11 ¼” long, 6” diameter, trunnion is 2” diameter x 12” long. Mortar bed measures 23 5/8” long, 12” wide and 6” tall, made from 3” thick select American walnut with hand rubbed oil finish. The bed is bolted together with six studs that run clear through the bed and capped off with heavy washers and brass acorn nuts. The trunnion caps where machined from a solid bar of steel and cold blued. The trunnion caps are also bolted to the bed with studs that engage special nuts on the underside of the bed in recessed counter bored pockets

The total weight of the piece is @ 95 pounds

The piece measures 23 5/8” long x 12” wide and 15” tall

French 10 inch Mortar of the Gribeauval System



My latest creation, scale model of a 10 inch mortar this weighs @ 300 pounds and has a 4.3" bore
 $15,500.00












French 10 inch Mortar of the Gribeauval System
1700-century French mortar model set on 4-inch thick Ash, barrel was machined from seamless tubing.
The barrel was machined from seamless tubing 1020 mild steel with the trunnion fitted to the sides. The bore is 4.3” diameter with a smaller powder chamber at the bottom overall length of barrel is 14” long, 8” diameter
Mortar bed measures 24” long, 22 1/2” wide and 5” tall, made from 4” thick select American Ash with hand rubbed oil finish
The bed is bolted together with six studs that run clear through the bed and capped off with heavy washers and blued acorn nuts.
The trunnion caps where machined from a solid bar of steel and cold blued
The trunnion caps are also held in place to the bed with straps that are bolted to the bed
The total weight of the piece is @ 300 pounds

The piece measures 24” long x 22 1/2” wide and 15 ½” tall
